Appointment Reminder Volunteer

Volunteers are a really important part of the team at the Trust, you will be working across our sites, at both Hillingdon and Mount Vernon.

Giving your time helps make a big difference in our patients' lives. Having volunteers enables us to do more, whether that is time to spend with patients, or giving our teams extra capacity.

Volunteers are vital in helping the Trust deliver the highest quality healthcare possible to our many patients. Volunteering is also an excellent opportunity for people to give back to their local hospital and to help make a real difference.

We would greatly appreciate your assistance in our Outpatient Appointment Centre to support the back office administration tasks that require a good eye for detail, computer literacy, and being professional and courteous with a good telephone manner.

We seek a volunteer with good IT skills who can support our service by updating relevant databases, calling patients, answering the phone, taking messages, using our IT system to receive and reply to notes, typing up messages, and photocopying and scanning documents.

Full training in the required activities will be given and as such this may suit someone who is a confident computer user and looking to return to the workforce.

We are looking for a compassionate, friendly and reliable person to commit to us for a minimum of six months consecutively.

  • Participation in the training relevant to your role and confidential discussion of any reasonable adjustments required to meet your needs

  • Full compliance with your training and relevant hospital policies including: Infection Control, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Security, Confidentiality and others as required
